Intercessory Prayer

Strategic Support for

Evangelistic Ministry

Evangelist Isaac - INTERCESSORY PRAYER

Intercessory prayer fuels evangelistic ministry. Evangelist Isaac emphasizes that through church meetings and gospel crusades, believers can pray strategically, breaking spiritual barriers and leading others to salvation.

Prayer underpins every outreach effort. Evangelist Isaac teaches that consistent intercession empowers ministers and congregations, ensuring evangelistic ministry thrives and communities are impacted with the gospel.

We need prayer warriors to support our ministry, this is more important than $$. Evangelist Isaac recognises we are in a spiritual battle and the battle for peoples souls are on the line.... we aren't playing games and we aren't playing church!

Intercessory prayer is standing in the gap before God on behalf of others. It is a priestly function where believers appeal to God’s mercy, truth, and will for individuals, families, churches, and nations.

1 Timothy 2:1 NKJV commands: “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men.” Intercession is not optional; it is a core discipline of the Christian life.

The greatest model is Jesus Christ Himself. Hebrews 7:25 NKJV says: “He always lives to make intercession for them.” Christ continues this ministry at the right hand of the Father.

Abraham demonstrated intercession in Genesis 18, pleading for Sodom. Moses also interceded for Israel after their sin, asking God to show mercy rather than destroy them (Exodus 32:11–14 NKJV).

Ezekiel 22:30 NKJV shows God’s desire for intercessors: “So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land…”

Intercessory prayer requires burden, compassion, and alignment with God’s Word. It is not emotional pressure or manipulation; it is agreement with God’s will and purposes.

Romans 8:26 NKJV teaches that the Holy Spirit helps in intercession: “For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us.”

Effective intercession is rooted in righteousness and faith. James 5:16 NKJV states: “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”

Intercessors often carry spiritual weight for others, but must remain anchored in Scripture, prayer, and holiness. Discernment is essential to avoid confusion or imbalance.

The goal of intercessory prayer is transformation—salvation of souls, healing of nations, revival in the church, and alignment of people with God’s will. It is warfare through submission, not striving, and victory comes through Christ alone.
